Four in police custody following drug find

Police arrested a man of Torokina Place in Nabua yesterday after he was allegedly found with dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

The man had a black bag containing 19 branches of the dried leaves.

In another case, a 34-year-old man of Muanikoso Settlement in Nasinu was arrested after he was allegedly found with 12 bullets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

Meanwhile, two drug related arrests were also made in the Western Division yesterday.

The first case was during a raid in Namaka Lane, Nadi whereby a 29-year-old man was allegedly found with 10 sachets of dried leaves wrapped in aluminum foil believed to be marijuana.

The second arrest was made in Tavua whereby, a 41-year-old market vendor of Mataniwai was allegedly found with 1 sachet of dried leaves believed to be marijuana along with more than $150 cash.

All suspects are in police custody while the seized substances have been sent for analysis.
