FijiFirst leader Voreqe Bainimarama says one of his contenders, National Federation Party leader Biman Prasad is not a threat to him or to his party.
The NFP Leader on Tuesday extended an invitation to his FijiFirst counterpart Voreqe Bainimarama to talk on several issues affecting Fijians but this was rejected.
The NFP Leader’s invitation to an open debate on issues of national interest included deteriorating health services, the total destruction of the sugar industry in this country, the dairy industry and the housing industry.
Bainimarama brushed aside debate challenges from Biman as well as from other parties.
” Don’t make himself relevant to me. He is nothing. Biman Prasad is nothing. When I’m finished with my manifesto then I don’t need to debate with anyone. Tell Biman he’s talking about everyday issues those are the things that the people know that we’re going to bring to them- Certainty. He’s going to bring about uncertainty. The people won’t know whether he’s going to do it or not but the people know I will do it.”
Bainimarama stressed he has always remained true to his words.
As the Election draws closer, there have been war of words amongst candidates.
