The Health Ministry’s community screening for COVID-19 is currently being held in most areas of Viti Levu.
Chief Medical Advisor, Jemesa Tudravu, says yesterday over 14,692 individuals were screened as the Ministry scales up screening.
Dr Tudravu says 383 people were swabbed through this process.
He says screening and swab testing are not limited to areas where nil cases of COVID-19 are recorded.
“The mobile community screening continues in Suva, Rewa, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Ra, Tavua, Ba, and Nadroga.”
Dr Tudravu says to date over 317,086 individuals screened and 9,222 swabbed.
He adds 57 individuals are admitted to two of their community isolation facilities.
He also says all are in good condition and they are being cared for by the Ministry of Health.
