Residents of Nakasi and surrounding areas will be able to get a taste of Burger King when the restaurant opens its fifth outlet for business from Monday.
The fastest growing hamburger chain in the world is located at the Rups Nakasi complex which has become one of the busiest suburbs in the country.
The outlet is the most advanced, built in line with the Burger King standards and features a dual drive through system.
Burger King Director Tejash Patel says Burger King has already employed 200 local staff creating the much needed employment opportunities for Fijians.
“Since opening the first Burger King restaurant in Nadi, we were inundated with requests from people of the Central division to open restauranats on this side of the island and today we are witnessing the launching of our second outlet in the area with the third one coming up very soon in the heart of Suva.”
Plans are in place to open two more outlets by next year with the sixth currently being constructed at Suva Central.
This will create employment for further 40 people.
The international franchise started operations in Fiji with its first outlet at the Nadi International airport departures lounge in 2015.
