Burger King Director Tejash Patel says Burger King has already employed 200 local staff creating the much needed employment opportunities for Fijians.

“Since opening the first Burger King restaurant in Nadi, we were inundated with requests from people of the Central division to open restauranats on this side of the island and today we are witnessing the launching of our second outlet in the area with the third one coming up very soon in the heart of Suva.”

Plans are in place to open two more outlets by next year with the sixth currently being constructed at Suva Central.

This will create employment for further 40 people.

The international franchise started operations in Fiji with its first outlet at the Nadi International airport departures lounge in 2015.
