Goal and field kicking is an important aspect of the 15’s game and the Vodafone Flying Fijians is not taking this fact lightly.
Coach John McKee says his side is aware the importance of kicking and is working on it ahead of next month’s World Cup.
“Our kicking game can always be a bit better so it’s a very important part of the game these days. We have got to make sure that there are a number of players across the Park who have got good field kicks for good field position and not just rely on one or two kickers.”
Currently, Josh Matavesi, Ben Volavola, Metuisela Talebula, Nikola Matawalu, Kini Murimurivalu and Nemia Kenatale are the top choice field kickers while Nemani Nadolo is the first choice goal kicker.
Fiji takes on England in its first match of the World Cup at 7am on September 19.
