September 24, 2012 1:00 am

The Fiji Sevens rugby squad is back in camp today at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua.

Interim coach, Timoci Wainiqolo says the focus this week is identifying player combinations, a luxury they have with a new crop of players to choose from.

“Looking for us to build a good team with the young players we have, it’s not tough for us. We just have to go there and play and be victorious, that’s all we want.”

As Fiji heads into the first leg of the IB World Sevens Series, identifying a new captain this week is vital with seasoned skipper, Setefano Cakau currently away in Sri Lanka.

The Gold Coast 7s will be played on October 13 and 14 – Fiji’s first match is against Scotland followed by Tonga and Australia.
