Two allegedly found with illicit drugs charged

Two men allegedly found in possession of illicit drugs will appear at the Suva Magistrates Court today.

The two in their 40s and 30s were arrested following a raid in Lami last Friday.

The raid was jointly conducted by the police, Fiji Revenue and Customs Service and the Fiji Detector Dog Unit.

During the raid, the first accused in his 40s was allegedly found with six clear plastic bags containing white crystals confirmed to be methamphetamine.

The second accused was found with five clear bags containing white crystals also confirmed to be methamphetamine.

The two have each been charged with one count each of unlawful possession of illicit drugs.
