A 20-year-old unemployed woman of Caubati, Nasinu has been sentenced for drug possession.

Raywin Kerley Simpson was charged with one count of unlawful possession of 0.02 grams of methamphetamine.

Simpson pleaded guilty in the Sigatoka Magistrates Court yesterday and was sentenced to two months imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.

Police arrested the woman acting on a tip-off.

Simpson was travelling to Kulukulu, Sigatoka to visit a friend when police approached her and found the drugs in her purse.
