The Department of i-Taukei Affairs is calling on youths from all over the country to engage in the Cultural Enhancement program and at the same time make an effort to save our culture.
Department of i-Taukei Affairs Senior Officer Simione Sevudredre says youths should take the initiative to take part in the program.
The cultural enhancement program will enable participants to have that level of maturity to maintain our traditions.
“So this program is an attempt by the Ministry of i-Taukei to bring back, to empower, to enlighten the members of the vanua or in this case the i-Taukei population, so this the program for youths.”
Participants of the first ever cultural exchange program got a chance to know more of where they come from and how to go about traditional protocol.
