63 new officers joins Fiji Corrections Service

New recruits of the Fiji Corrections Service have been told to carry out their task with honor and dignity.

Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Defense Iowane Naivalurua made this important reminder to the 63 new officers who graduated in the Fiji Corrections Service pass out parade in Naboro today.

Naivalurua says there are challenges in their line of work which officers will need to carry out.

He says it’s important that they work according to the law.

The new officers include 60 men and three women.

Naivalurua will also open four government capital projects at the Naboro Prison Complex later today.
