Two men who are charged with one count of murder each have been further remanded in custody by the Lautoka High Court.

36-year-old Eroni Vaqewa and 34-year-old Emoni Saukiwere are alleged to have beaten Isikeli Rabuka to death during a drinking party in Korovuto last month.

Saukiwere is currently represented by lawyer Mark Anthony while Vaqewa is representing himself.

Lawyer Anthony informed the court that he has applied for a bail application for his client.

The DPP stated in court that they have received the affidavits, however, they will need time to respond.

The case will be called again on the 7th of next month.
