A 7-year-old boy has died after he was allegedly hit by a truck driven by a 36-year-old man on Saturday afternoon.

The incident occurred in Savu Village, Tailevu.

The suspect was returning from offloading hardware supplies when he allegedly bumped the victim who was playing near the village roundabout.

The road death toll currently stands at 26 compared to 33 for the same period last year.
