Turaga is replacing Graham Leung, who was dismissed by the Prime Minister last Friday.

Leung was appointed as a Minister of the Cabinet to serve as Attorney General on June 5th last year.

The Prime Minister had revealed that findings in the recent Report of the Commission of Inquiry into the appointment of the FICAC Commissioner made it evident that Leung’s position in his Cabinet was untenable.

Siromi Turaga was removed from his position as Attorney-General on June 5th last year by the Prime Minister.
