A man remains in police custody in Nadi over the find of burnt human remains over the weekend.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says investigators are awaiting the forensic tests conducted on the burnt human remains, uplifted by the police officers in Nawaicoba, Nadi.

Meanwhile, FBC News understands the man being questioned is the husband of the woman who was reported missing by her family on the 11th of this month.

Naisoro says upon investigation, they received information the man allegedly inflicted serious harm on her.

FBC News can also confirm the man had confessed to the alleged incident which prompted the Police to search his compound and found what is believed to be burnt human remains that were buried.
