May 14, 2014 7:05 pm

Heads of schools around the country have been advised as to what they can and cannot do when handling the free education grant.

A member of the Ministry’s Executive Support Team, Sunia Marawaya told FBC News, this was relayed to them in workshops held during the first quarter of the year.

“The main message to them is that we need education to be made affordable and accessible to all the Fijian children so that is why the government is stepping in on all the financial barriers parents used to face in the past.”
