Yawava villagers on the Island of Kadavu are still experiencing strong winds and water from big waves has seeped into their homes.

Village spokesperson, Osea Batinitabua says at this moment the sea level is higher than the normal level.

Batinitabua says roofs of some homes in the village was blown away.

He says this is the first such cyclone wher they have experienced this.

Batinitabua says right now, they are finding it difficult to get to the nearest evacuation centre due to the heavy rain and strong winds.
