Local Government Minister, Premila Kumar

Local Government Minister, Premila Kumar says the Government continues to develop Nasinu Town.

Kumar says such progress include the development of the Laqere municipal market, Narere swimming pool and the Valelevu stadium.

She says they recently met with some executives from China regarding some of these projects.

“The Fijian Government has injected seven million towards the development of Laqere municipal market while preliminary works for the Narere swimming pool and the Valelevu stadium have commenced. The executives have come from Guangdong province in China to further discuss the design of t Valelevu stadium – which we envisage the work will commence next year around February or March.”

The Minister says Nasinu has the highest population of Fijians residing in the area.
