Eight victims remain admitted in hospital including three children that were involved in an accident over the weekend.

Police report that the victims were passengers in a bus that was involved in an accident on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred along the Sawani Serea Road in Naitasiri with the bus carrying 60 passengers, when the 50-year-old driver allegedly lost control causing the bus to tumble before landing on the side of the road.

Police say 26 passengers received minor injuries and 14 were treated at Vunidawa Hospital before being released, while the others were transferred to CWM Hospital in Suva.

Meanwhile Police confirm that yesterday three passengers were discharged from the CWM Hospital.

The driver of the bus remains in custody at the Vunidawa Police Station.
