The Fiji Red Cross Society is currently hosting its Annual National Youth Forum in Nadave, Tailevu.

This is a merged opening event for the Pacific Youth Network.

The initiative includes Red Cross youth officers and volunteers from 15 of the 16 branches in Fiji.

It also includes youth representatives from 13 national societies in the Pacific.

The forum aims to further develop young people as young leaders in humanitarian challenges in their local communities.

The five day program is expected to include group activities, team building sessions, first aid and disaster management competitions and is scheduled to close with an Awards night tomorrow.

The theme for the event is “Youths leading humanitarian action”.
