Lautoka top of the VPL Table

The Vodafone Premier League title holders, Lautoka sits on top of the table after the first round of the games over the weekend.

The Blues thumped Tavua 5-1 and has better goal difference then Nadi and Suva who also have three points in bag.

Nadi is placed second after defeating Ba 3-1 while Suva is on third having beaten Rewa 3-2.

Meanwhile, Vodafone Fiji football coach, Christophe Gamel says, the coaches have a huge role to play this season.

“_Most of all I have to also speak to all the coaches of the Vodafone Premier League. Now it’s finished, this year they have to apply for what I’m looking for.”_

The VPL kicks off on Friday with a double header at Ratu Cakobou Park in Nausori, where Rewa plays Dreketi at 5.30pm and Suva faces Labasa at 7pm.

At the same time at Churchill Park, Lautoka hosts Ba.

Two matches will be played on Sunday, Suva plays Dreketi at 1pm while Rewa faces Labasa at 3pm at Ratu Cakobou Park.
