Ambassador Deo Saran was appointed in 2015 and says Fiji has a lot to learn from these EU states.

We identify what are the niche areas in these countries that can be applied to Fiji. In the Netherlands they are world leaders in Hydrology so we can look into that as to how we can learn from their experience to help us address the problems in Fiji.

The Ambassador says his mission also continuously highlights the issue of Climate Change at many forums and reminds EU states of the importance of ratifying the Paris Agreement.

The Embassy is also working on deepening bilateral ties with all its accredited countries and is enhancing dialogue with Multi-lateral relations in the Political arena.
