Kadavu trio charged for drug cultivation

Three Kadavu villagers who are charged with unlawful cultivation of illicit drugs believed to be marijuana appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court today.

Suliasi Bola, Elisao Tukana and Mikaele Raivasi are alleged to have cultivated more than 134.2 kilograms of marijuana in their farms.

The three men were granted bail with a bond of five hundred dollars with one surety each.

Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili says they are not allowed to leave Suva or go back to Kadavu for New Years.

The accused are to return to court on the 2nd of February, 2016.
