Former Fiji 7s and Olympic Gold medal-winning coach Ben Ryan has lashed out at Wallabies coach Michael Cheika about the Reece Hodge tackle on Flying Fijians flanker Peceli Yato.

Cheika yesterday said that referring the Hodge tackle to the citing committee by Fiji is not in the spirit of the game.

However Ryan in his twitter disputed comments made by Cheika.

He says Cheika blocked two Fijian players from getting their Super Rugby contracts and this was not in the spirit of the game.

According to The Guardian, Cheika rejected Fiji’s actions on the grounds they were two-faced, saying he had spoken amicably with Fiji coach John McKee after the game and there was no suggestion the Hodge incident would be taken further.
