A 19-year- old man of Viria Road Suva who was apprehended by the homeowner during an early morning robbery on Sunday, has been charged.

The accused allegedly entered the victim’s home at Beach Road in Suva Point with another suspect and was ransacking the house when the victim woke up.

The 27-year- old victim found the two in the sitting room with one of them allegedly wearing his watch.

While the other suspect managed to flee the scene, the 19-year- old was overpowered by the 27-year- old victim who is a black belt in Hapkido.

The victim taped the hands and legs of the accused before alerting Police.

The accused will be produced in the Suva Magistrates Court today.
