A 25-year-old man who is alleged to have injured his six-month-old baby will appear in the Nadi Magistrate Court today.

The suspect is charged with one count of grievous harm and criminal intimidation.

The man allegedly injured his daughter with a kitchen knife during an argument with his wife.

The woman had apparently returned home after filing a Domestic Violence Restraining Order (DVRO) against him.

It is believed the couple lived separately and the suspect was entering their home without the wife’s knowledge.

The baby has been treated and sent home.
