Two youths from Suva who pleaded guilty to theft and burglary charges have been sentenced to an imprisonment term by the Suva High Court.

The court heard that 19-year-old Rupeni Veremo and 25-year-old Joji Voresi on September 15th this year entered into a property in Suva and stole assorted items.

The court heard that the two stole $2000 and a smartphone and assorted jewellery from the house.

The court heard that the two climbed the fence at 8.30 am and in each other’s company stole from the owner.

The two pleaded guilty to the charges on October 24th.

Veremo has been sentenced to nine months imprisonment while Voresi will have to serve 15 months in prison.
