Top local junior chess players will compete in the Flour Mills of Fiji National Junior Championship in Suva this weekend.

National under 20 champion, Keez Terubea will receive some stiff competition in defending his title against top players such as Menash Fareed, Zen Borg, Stanley Zhang and Austin Koroi.

National rep Hilda Vukikomoala will also feature in the event after returning from the World Chess Olympiad in Norway earlier this month.

The FMF National Chess Championships will begin at 9am on Sunday at the Tappoo City conference room in Suva.
