“One of the things quite evident to us is the voter education. We’ve just received one application so far from the NGOs and that’s being considered. That was given to us a couple of days ago, they’ve also given us their materials. We’ve referred that to the Supervisor of Elections to vet and he will be dealing with the certification.”

Under the Electoral Decree, NGOs must have endorsement from the Elections Office before they can carry out voter education.

The Elections office in the meantime, is also compiling its own education and awareness material.
