The Labasa women’s soccer team has denied Ba a spot in the final of this year’s Bargain Box Inter District Championship at Govind Park.

Labasa downed the hosts 2-nil in the first semi-final this morning – it was Ba’s first loss in the tournament.

The Northerners will face Lautoka in the final at 3pm – Lautoka defeated Rewa 3-nil in the second semi-final moments ago.

Defending champs Suva bowed out on Saturday after recording two losses.

It’s a new champion for women’s soccer this year and will be known later this afternoon.
