The Fiji Pensioners Association in their submissions to the Constitution say the next government should provide them with land so that pensioners could build their homes.

Association President Hari Raj Naicker says a lot of pensioners are living in land which has expired.

He says idle land should be utilized and handed to pensioners
.
Naicker says senior citizens are not treated well by government departments.

Calls have also been made to establish a senior citizens home.

Earlier on the Association has called for the allocation of $800 per month as pension allowance for all senior citizens above the age of 60.
