Marist Brothers, Yat Sen, St Joseph’s and Adi Cakobau School have made strong starts at the Fiji Secondary Schools Basketball Championship in Suva.

Defending Under 19 champs, Marist Brothers defeated Ba Provincial 57-12 at the Vodafone Arena this morning, ACS beat Suva Grammar 38-18 while the Yat Sen U15 boys beat Gospel High 29-16.

Games are being played at the Ed’s Court in Raiwaqa – Laucala Bay Secondary beat St Thomas High 44-14, newcomers Queen Victoria won by default over Suva Grammar.

Meanwhile, the St Joseph Secondary U17 girls beat a depleted Gospel High side, 33-1.
