Moce-Suva Warriors face off in Easter cricket final

The Suva Warriors are still in the game to defend their LICI Easter Cricket title after beating Komo and will now face off with Moce at Albert Park in the next hour.

The Warriors beat Komo by 90 runs over a full 20 overs – finishing off with 161 runs for the loss of four wickets while Komo hit 71 for 9 wickets.

Big hitter, Kiti Tavo of Suva scored an impressive 49 runs.

Moce defeated Lakeba by five with six overs to spare – finishing off with 92 runs after only 14 overs with Makutu Seru being highlighted as the top batter.

Lakeba who batted first managed 87 runs for 8 wickets.

Moce was the first team to qualify for the final and FBC commentator Graham Eden attributed Moce’s success for being in fine form given their allocated time to increase their scores at a fast rate in the match.

He adds teams have been fighting against the elements of wet and muddy grounds which have surprisingly seen some excellent local cricket being played.
