“It lists about 15 places in the world where it is safe to travel to given COVID-19. Fiji I am glad to say under this particular survey its saying is number one. Now we need to capitalize on this.”

Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Jone Usamate says Fiji is able to achieve this feat through the hard work put in by relevant authorities.

“Thanks to the Ministry of Health, the security forces, the RFMF and everyone that has been involved that an assessment is done by a company called Tourlane that assessed what is the countries that people should travel to given this COVID-19. Fiji was rated number one. That is the reflection of the system that we put in place.”

Fiji is the only Pacific Island country on the list among 14 others from the world over.
