September 24, 2019 7:29 am

The Fiji Roads Authority will be carrying out traffic signal induction loop installation at intersections.

This will be along the new four-lane road from 9-miles to the Rewa Bridge.

In a statement, FRA says if weather permits the installation will be carried out from 8pm to 5am daily from Monday, 30th September to Friday, 11th October.

FRA says the system will work like a sensor for efficient performance of the traffic signals to help improve the traffic flow.

It says during the while induction loop installation there will be single-lane closures and temporary traffic management will be deployed to guide motorists.

Motorists and pedestrians are requested to exercise caution and to follow the traffic management employed on site.
