Fiji Rugby Union Chief Executive John O’ Connor says the Fijiana needs to put in the hard yards.

The team recently escaped relegation from the HSBC Women’s Series.

O’Connor says he understands that there were changes to the coaching staff but its time to get serious about making the cut for the Olympics.

“More importantly for the Fijiana, they now start preparing for the qualifications which will be held with the Oceania 7s tournament, we need to win that tournament to cement our place into the Olympic”.

The Fijiana will be defending its Gold medal at the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa next month.
