There is no place for politics of division.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama made this statement as opposition members continue to politicize Fiji’s inclusion into the Human Rights Council.

Speaking to FBC News from Sydney, Australia – Bainimarama says the FijiFirst government has worked hard to transform the country to where it is today.

Bainimarama says politics of division will only bring hatred and setbacks as Fiji’s progress is now recognized internationally.

“This is the time for coming together in recognition of our progress not for divisive politics, both the Fijian people and the international community have made this clear.”

The Prime Minister says there needs to be a collaborative approach if Human Rights are to be protected at all times.
