The Fiji 7s team after winning the Cape Town 7s title
The Fiji Airways men’s 7s side has been crowned the champions of the Cape Town tournament beating USA 29-15 in the final.
Fiji led in a one-sided final by 17-nil at half time with a try each to skipper Kailone Nasoko, Vilimoni Botitu and Sevuloni Mocenacagi.

Nosko and Botitu scored a try each too in the second half as Fiji had raced away to lead 22-nil before USA staged a fight-back.

Coach Gareth Baber says Fiji bounced back in style after finishing fifth in Dubai last weekend.
“It’s been a long time coming here for the Fijians and to win in Cape Town. We were disappointed last week that we didn’t managed to perform to the levels that we have done this week and that’s what makes me most proud that this boys have done everything for families back home and obviously for Fiji and the lord as well.”

Player of the final Vilimoni Botitu who made his debut in Dubai last weekend thanked the players and the officials for supporting him through-out the tournament.
