With the two weeks school holiday underway along with some major social and sporting activities, Police are urging parents to closely monitor the movements of their children.

This comes after police received various reports of children as young as two-year-olds being separated from their parents at the Hibiscus festival in Valelevu on Saturday.

Up to ten children were in the care of officers as they were lost in the crowd.
Police also confirms they were later reunited with their guardians, however, better care needs to be directed towards the safety of children.

Personal safety is also a concern as there were two reports of pick pocketing at the ground which has been dealt with.
