One of the minibus passengers that survived the horrific road accident in Nabou, Sigatoka says he is counting his lucky stars that he is alive today.

Tevita Tukana says that everything happened in a blink of an eye.
Tukana who suffered a broken collarbone, broken arm and a few bruises says he remembers that all of a sudden there was a huge impact and the next thing he saw blood everywhere in the minibus.

The 18-year-old says he was not supposed to be in the minibus that day as his name was not on the list.

However, Tukana says he asked one of the other passengers to stay back in Nadi while he took his seat.

Tukana says thinking back about the morning, he counts himself very lucky to be alive.

He is also thankful to the couple who had assisted him by transporting him to the Sigatoka Hospital.

Tukana adds what happened that morning is a memory that will never erase.
