A 21-year-old unemployed man of Lami has been remanded in custody for allegedly assaulting his 21-year-old partner, for not giving him money.

Moses King appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this morning where Prosecution objected bail.

It’s alleged the victim reported the matter to Police because King had been demanding money from her on a daily basis.

The alleged assault occurred on the 20th of this month at their home.

The matter has been adjourned to the July 2nd, where the court will decide on bail application.
