Police are still searching for the mother of the new-born baby that was found abandoned in Sigatoka two weeks ago.

A 74-year-old man found the new-born lying on a ground in Nabitu.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says they’re still trying to determine the identity of the woman.

Police are calling on the public to assist them with information on the whereabouts of the mother of the new-born.

Anyone with information is requested to call the Crime Stoppers on 919 or report to the nearest Police station.
