The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians team was unveiled last night ahead of the Pacific Nations Cup.

Coach John McKee currently has 25 players in camp with more overseas players yet to join the squad in Suva.

McKee says with the calibre of the players coming in, it will be a tough task to select the run on team against Samoa next Saturday.

“They have been doing some hard-work and they really felt it yesterday. We put in a really hard day so as I said that’s money in the bank for next week. Probably what I’m hoping is that out of the group that’s trained over this week, we can pick the squad for Samoa.”

France based Brive winger, Benito Masilevu, who was initially named in the reserves has also teamed up and replaces Josua Tuisova who’s taken a break and is out of June test matches.

Masilevu says it’s always a pleasure representing Fiji in front of the home crowd.

“Playing for Fiji is always a privilege and honour to play for. Everybody knows there is a lot of talents especially at the position I play as a wing so there is a lot of competition but it doesn’t holds be back."

Players yet to join the camp are Leone Nakarawa, Vereniki Goneva, Jale Vatubua, Nemani Nadolo, Timoci Nagusa and Semi Radradra.

Fiji plays Samoa in its first test match next Saturday, 3.30pm at ANZ Stadium in Suva.
