The three Fijians women who have been selected by the Free Bird Institute in Nadi to work at the Narita Airport in Japan will be leaving Fiji tomorrow.

Chief Financial Officer, Waisale Iowane says the three women received their work visas from the Japanese Embassy last week.

Iowane says the three were selected out of more than two hundred Fijians who had applied for the job late last year.

He says these three will be Fiji’s ambassadors to Japan and on an international stage in terms of employment.

“To have these three women working there as an expert at that level, they are selling Fiji on that international stage. We will also use this as an opportunity to drive the demand for the employers in Japan. They can come in and sort of tap into the human capital resources that Fiji has. This is a great opportunity for them to work in that market, to work in that culture and lifestyle so different and advance.”

Iowane says depending on their performance, more employment opportunities can be generated through Japanese employers.
