A three-million-dollar stadium that was discussed in the Naitasiri Provincial Council meeting last year will be constructed in Vunidawa soon.

This was confirmed by the Council’s Chair, Alivereti Nabulivou.

Nabulivou says this will allow villagers nearby to have a facility that can hold various events.

“A proposal has been done by the Government which is on its way right now, a survey has been done for the construction of the stadium, which will accommodate not only the Naitasiri people but for the people of Fiji.”

Nabulivou also says plans are underway for a three-storey building that will be rented out to government ministries and Non-Government Organisations.

The chiefs and delegates have approved for the two major constructions.
