May 9, 2018 7:19 pm

Opposition Leader, Ro Teimumu Kepa, has asked Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama, to stop traveling abroad during Parliamentary sittings.

Kepa says the PM had not attended or led his team to parliament last month.

She says Bainimarama will also be absent for the next sitting, which takes place next week and claims there is no information available to them on where the PM will be.

However, FBC News can confirm that the PM is in Germany, for a series of climate meetings.

Kepa says they need answers from the PM during the Parliamentary sittings and Bainimarama needs to reconsider overseas travel.

FBC News has sent the opposition’s statement to the Prime Minister for his response.
