The Fiji Military Forces will prepare for the election in a few different way to ensure all military officers vote in the upcoming General election.

RFMF Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto says election preparation is important adding that their votes count.

Naupoto says they will work together with the Elections office to ensure that more than seven hundred officers on overseas missions also vote in the general election.

“Our rotation starts in April so depending on when the election comes so there might be some people who perhaps registered to vote here but will be transiting out to our mission overseas and we must make sure if that transition occurs that they are able to vote either here in Fiji or when they go.”

Naupoto says a session with the elections office was conducted last week where they received updates on their voter cards and polling stations.
