Kwagga Smith hopes to defend the title in Sydney 7s

South Africa 7s veteran Kwagga Smith hopes to stamp a mark in the Sydney and Hamilton tournament before he departs for super rugby competition.

The strong running forward has been a man of interest in the South African side for the past few seasons..

Smith says he hopes to make his country proud by helping his team win in the next two tournament.

“I’ve got these two tournaments left before I move to super rugby so I will do my best for the last time this year.”

South Africa is pooled with England, Spain and Papua New Guinea.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways mens 7s side is pooled with New Zealand, Samoa and Russia.

They kick off their campaign against Samoa at 8.28pm on Friday.

The side then plays Russia at 5.09pm on Saturday before facing New Zealand at 8.42pm.

The Cup quarter-final kicks off at 12.28pm on Sunday, semi-final begins at 6.36pm and the final is schedule for 9.48pm.
