Lautoka expects to continue unbeaten run in VPL

The Lautoka football side does not want its results from past matches affect the team in the Vodafone premier League.

The side is undefeated after eight matches winning seven for a tally of 22 points, seven ahead of second placed Suva.

Team President, Abdul Kadar says, their aim of winning the national league title is on track.

“We resumed training on Monday. The boys have been turning up. We are aware that we need four more wins but we do not underestimate any team. We will take one match at a time and our focus right now is Dreketi.”

Lautoka takes on Rakiraki at 3pm at Churchill Park on Sunday.

In other matches, Rewa plays Dreketi at 3.30pm on Saturday at Labasa’s Subrail Park before which Labasa takes on Suva at 1.30pm.

At the same venue on Sunday, Dreketi plays Suva at 1.30pm after which Labasa battles Rewa at 3.30pm.

In another match on Saturday, Ba hosts Nadi at 3pm at Govind Park and you can catch a live commentary of the match on Radio Fiji Two, with the voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart.
