Six students who allegedly gang raped a 17-year-old student in Yasawa last week were released on bail by the Lautoka Magistrates court.

The six students who are aged between 16 to 19 years are each charged a count of rape.

Magistrate Mosese Naivalu released them on $200 bail with a surety each.

The students have been ordered not to interfere with the witnesses and not reside in Yasawa.

The six will be staying in Lautoka.

Their plea has been deferred.

The matter has been transferred to the Lautoka High court and will be called on July 7th.
