Over 1000 plants believed to be marijuana seized

More than 1000 plants believed to be marijuana were uprooted by a team of police officers at a farm in Loa, Tukavesi early yesterday morning.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the team led by the Tukavesi Station Officer raided the farm at about 5am in the morning where 1,012 plants were uprooted.

The owner of the farm is known to Police and the search is on for his whereabouts.

The seized plants will be sent for analysis.
